Ok, so Moses split the red sea. He also turned a staff into a serpent. (or Aaron did). Christ performed many many miracles, as did his prophets.

How was all this done? Ok, I know this is a touchy subject for you guys as I understand that not everyone accepts the God of Abraham as the Almighty, ok. But, these miracles were performed by a "power" given to "men" from Him.

My question is: could we consider these powers to be magic?

The Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary describes magic as:
"1 a : the use of means (as charms or spells) believed to have supernatural power over natural forces
b : magic rites or incantations

2 a : an extraordinary power or influence seemingly from a supernatural source
b : something that seems to cast a spell : ENCHANTMENT

3 : the art of producing illusions by sleight of hand
"

So, I suppose given the number 2 explination above, you could say these acts were "magic".

Rolling Eyes I dunno, someone set me straight on this. Rolling Eyes

In my opinion Aaron, yes, I would agree with you. Given the the number 2 explanation from the dictionary. The reason for my agreement; God is a "Supernatural" force because his powers, are beyond the natural world that we humans are used to. Therefore, when an act of God is commited, it is usually something phenominal, aka, a giant body of water splitting directly down the middle and staying that way for a few days!
